Colorful Faults

The sky is red
The grass is blue
No matter how big or small the lie
It hurts when it's from you

I can walk away from it
but only so many times
I can try to run, too
but i'll remember the crime

My heart hurts
and down below
I feel my stomach knot
My anger grow

The sky is not red!
The grass is not blue!
You can't hide the truth!
I am not going to be fooled!

I'm going to walk now
straight up to you
smack the truth in your face
and say "this is the color blue!!"

Stop!...wait...
Is it true?
have I lived in your world?
where i have lied too?

the sky is red
the grass is blue
oh my gosh!
I have lied, too...

I guess I'm not perfect
but I want to ridicule only you
I guess that's not fair
my forgiveness has grew

I'm sorry for blame
I'm sorry to shame
only you in this
this tattling game

I am not perfect...pink
and neither are you...black
my vision of a more colorful us...white
was something that i lacked...when i wrote in black...
